Abstract
Painting is an avenue of highly personal expression and communication. The desire to visually discover and express my personal imagery involves me intensely in the creative process. The hope of creating something significant and beautiful inspires me to explore my own imagination through art materials. Both the process and product of creativity are integrally important. Images are significant as revelations of my experiences, feelings, thoughts, and fantasies, as well as a means of communication. The exploration and self-discovery that occurs with the creation of each painting results in new perspectives essential to my continuing development as an artist. This process of creativity and growth involves integrative forces, both visual and personal.
