Abstract
A humanitarian ethic is an outstanding part of Solzhenitsyn’s character. This is evident in his correspondence as well as in his literary works. This ethic has undoubtedly been sharpened and appears to have become increasingly militant as repressive measures continue in the Soviet Union against his works.
