Abstract
The effects of three different instructional sets on Sentence Completion Test (SCT) responses were studied. Three groups of 20 S’s each, equally divided as to males and females, received different instructions to the same SCT items. The Three types of instructions: (1) stressed the expression of real feeling. (2) asked for immediate response, and (3) gave neutral instructions. Results of the study suggested that the different types of instructions had no significant effect on sentence completion responses, either for all S’s together, or for either sex alone.
