Abstract
The purpose of this thesis has been to explore and control resist methods in relationship to personal fantasy images using oil ink and oil paint. All the drawings included have been executed on rice paper which was found to be most satisfactory for resist. A paper with a tooth was used often in the experimental period, but the desired results were not obtained. The use of masonite for use with oil paint allowed a smooth surface for detail work. The masonite is a kind of fiberboard made from pressed wood fibers.
