Abstract
The idea of my work is to remove image making as the goal of the piece. It must be an object in itself and not a picture or representation of a real thing. The pieces are designed from a frontal viewpoint. They are supposed to be viewed as a conventional painting or drawing would be seen. This is to avoid conflicts with a pure sculptural concept while still sculptural in nature. It is my intention to create works that have a three-dimensional aspect while at the same time need not be viewed in the round.
