Abstract
The main purpose of this experiment was to discover the effects of organization on information retention and persuasiveness as shown by the examination of results of measurement devices administered to students at Fort Hays Kansas State College who listened to an organized, a partially disorganized, and a totally disorganized speech. One aspect of the uniqueness of this study was in the use of partial disorganization as well as total disorganization as opposed to the studies cited in the review of literature which had used only total disorganization. Also an aspect of the methodology was changed to control the variable of delivery.
