Abstract

The aim of this creative thesis was to combine metal and ceramic form in a pleasing and reciprocal unit. The research first revolved around the use of various metals: bronze, brass, copper and lead, as well as a diversity of metal casting procedures. Secondly, the artist was not confined to one ceramic forming technique, but employed both wheel thrown and hand-built methods.
