Abstract
The purpose of the study was to appraise the educational influence of the typewriter on language arts when used as part of the regular classroom equipment in the third grade. The study was confined to evidence collected through a classroom experiment in Saint John Elementary School, Saint John, Kansas; however, the study includes reports of other experimentation and pertinent materials.
