This photo album contains images documenting George F. Sternberg’s experience at Fort Hays State University and his work with students and graduates, such as George Pearce and Myrl Walker, at expedition sites. Sternberg began mounting specimens and selling them to museums all over the United States and Canada. Sternberg worked with colleagues and fellow paleontologists during the 1930s and 1940s. Most of the expeditions were in the Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming region. Personal photographs of family, trips, and homes in Hays, Kansas, are included. Several expeditions in this scrapbook do not include a location or date.
