Description
This item features the black and white photo of the Edson quarry in Sherman County, Kansas. The quarry is where a number of bones were found by Sternberg. Notice numbers 3, 4, and 5 marking places George wrote in the inscription in cursive on the photo. These numbers indicate where the clay layer is, above the white sand layer, which is where most of the bones were found. A long, dug-out area is in the center of the photo next to the small rock outcropping. Grasses and small shrubs are on top of the outcropping.
