Description
This black and white photograph demonstrates how "horses strain and pull as they drag a plaster-wrapped fossil from deep in the rocks of the Red Deer River Valley"(pg. 157) in Alberta, Canada. A man stands at the bottom of the quarry behind the fossil as horses at the top pull the fossil up. Numbers are written below the photograph.
