Description
This black and white photograph features a Parasaurolophus dinosaur skeleton. The fossil has been mounted for display. The skull of the dinosaur is on the left side. The skeleton goes through the photograph horizontally with the tail trailing out of the picture frame on the far right. The skeleton is mostly intact but is missing the left hind leg. The right hind leg is also out of the frame of the picture. The dinosaur has a curved neck; the skull has a cranial crest that curves back to almost touch the rib bones. The dinosaur has a wide chest, where the front legs attach, which thins out towards the tail. The Parasaurolophus was an herbivore that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period.
