Description
This black and white photograph features the Judith River beds in Montana. In the foreground, the land sloping upward is covered in grass and small plants. This land then turns into badlands. The grass is less prominent in this area. Plenty of coniferous trees can be seen on the tops of the hills or stratified outcroppings. In the upper left and upper right of the photo, the land flattens out, and a row of trees is visible on each side. Underneath the photo is an inscription written by Sternberg. Handwriting is below the photograph.
