Description
This black and white photograph features transporting the fossil out of the quarry. In the bottom left of the photo, Sternberg's team of four horses and three men are driving the wagon load of fossil specimens up the path on a stratified outcropping. One man is standing on the wagon, driving the horses, and the second man is pushing the wagon from behind to help get the cart up. A third man is walking on the trail to the right of the white horses. At the bottom right of the photo is the opening of the excavation site. Plenty of large white rocks and supplies used for the excavation are clustered at the entrance of the quarry. Buttes surround the team and the trail they are on. Handwriting is below the photograph.
