Description
This black and white photograph features an excavation site on the side of the large outcropping. To the left of the graveled slope, four long-handled excavation tools are propped up on a ledge. The gravel slopes up toward the site where Sternberg's colleague had planted the explosive. The explosive has gone off and white smoke is seen coming out of a crevice in the outcropping. The outcropping has a few tufts of shrubbery in some spots. The plant life is more prominent farther back in the photograph. Handwriting is below the photograph.
