Description
This black and white photograph features a man standing on top of a mound in the fossil quarry with a loaded wagon below him. The landscape view of the quarry consists of sculptured breaks. The bottom of the photo depicts shrub brush that grows at the bottom of the quarry. In the center of the photo stands a parked horse-drawn wagon. A dark horse and a white horse are in harnesses. Just above the wagon, on a mound of exposed rock, a man stands to pose for the picture. He leans on a long-handled excavation tool. George Sternberg provided a cursive inspiration underneath the photo.
