Artist's Statement
Inspired by the serenity of the night sky, this hand-built coil vase captures a peaceful, dreamlike atmosphere. The surface is painted with underglaze to evoke a deep, star-filled sky, while a carved couple wrapped in a blanket quietly gazes upward, adding an intimate, emotional layer to the scene. Additional carved stars create depth and texture, allowing light and shadow to animate the piece. Through careful craftsmanship and poetic imagery, this work celebrates both the wonder of the cosmos and the quiet, shared moments beneath it.
