Artist's Statement
The Williams-Garcias are requesting a remodeled kitchen space that fulfills their needs and requirements. Some of these requirements include expanded storage and a hidden scullery area for back of house clean up. Other features like a separate beverage station and breakfast nook are also desired. The clients want the space to reflect their hosting habits and style preferences. Bright colors like oranges, greens, and patterned tiles are used throughout the kitchen to reflect Camila's maximalist wants. There is nature in the space with added plants to add a biophilic element to the kitchen that Mateo wants. This design aims to combine the two different styles of maximalist and biophilic designs to create a seamless space that is both functional and unique.
