Artist's Statement

This piece is used as a visual aid to represent the circulatory system of an insect. The cover photo is of the beetle, which can then be flipped up to show its circulatory system underneath. The overlay of the beetle aids in connecting the viewers idea of what they see in the world, to the science that lay beneath.
