Artist's Statement
In a world where war is often treated as the solution, this series of ceramic weapons emphasizes the urgent need for peace within our nation and globally. Sending young people into conflict and teaching future generations that violence resolves tensions prevents us from becoming a society we can truly take pride in. These ceramic forms, finished with a bronze glaze, draw on a medieval aesthetic while remaining relevant today. They connect past traditions of conflict with present realities.
