Abstract
Experiential learning allows students the opportunity to learn by doing and promotes critical thinking with reflecting on the event. This experience provides the students with hands on practice and encourages the development of socialization within the student population of FHSU. Students are encouraged to utilize cultural competence and engage the population without reservation. These events are intertwined with collaborative classroom discussions, traditional classroom lectures, and individual student synthesis of their acquired knowledge. Reflection of the experience provides students the opportunity to evaluate the activity, and plan for future interactions in practice.
