Abstract
The purpose of this study is to mutate the HIRA gene in Arabidopsis (a mustard plant) via a CRISPR vector. HIRA is a protein involved in regulating transcription of genes during leaf development. Creating new mutations in HIRA will help us better understand the mechanism of how HIRA regulates transcription.
