Abstract
This project studies the economic perceptions and expectations (P&E) held by FHSU students, since these helps determine a student’s choice of major, student-loan balance, and post-graduation plans. The study is a continuation of a long-term research project conducted by the FHSU Economics Club to track P&E over time. Based on a survey conducted in February of 2023, our FHSU Student Confidence Index declined by nearly 10% from the previous year. Most respondents remain positive about the competitiveness of their degree and ability to find a job after graduation, although less so than in 2022.
