Abstract
Since yeasts have the most similar way of doing its cellular respiration to humans, we were interested in investigating if yeasts could survive in the Mars-like environment. Preparing for the future life, we thought that if yeast could survive, there would be a high possibility that humans can find a way to survive, too. By differing the variables, radiation and temperature, we did the activation experiment to compare the CO2 production, which indicates whether yeasts can survive in the harsh environment.
