Abstract
This study will look at the effect of an emotional support group on the self-reported urge to eat when experiencing 25 different emotions outlined in an emotional eating survey (EES) in ages 18 to 30 years old. The sample of 15 participants will be selected using convenience sampling and the study will follow a quasi-experimental design. Participants will be pretested with a 25-item Likert scale format EES and will be post-tested using the same EES after attending 6 weeks of the emotional support group. The data will be analyzed using a paired t-test pending data collection.
