Transcription

Halstead Grove, originally known as Pierce's Grove. Old Settlers Picnic was first held at Pierce's Grove. It was located near the present site of the East railroad bridge. The picnic was moved to the riverside park in 1891. The picnic was one day until 1919, the two day picnic followed.
