Description

This color photograph features the inside of the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Catharine, Kansas. The arches on the altarpiece are styled with ornate detailed carvings. Under the arches are statues that represent religious figures. Additional side altars contain statues of Mary, Jesus, and other Christian figures. Hanging down on chains from the ceilings side arches are cylindrical pendant lights, which have detailing on them. There are four white ceiling fans, and three white oscillating fans on the floor in front of the altar. In front of the altar is a table. On the bottom left side of the photograph is a wooden pulpit. Framed Stations of the Cross hang on the walls, and a baptismal font stands near a crucifix at the front. The main colors of this photograph are muted colors of gold, red, blue, and white.
