This color photograph, taken in the early 2000s, shows the interior of the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Catharine, Kansas, inlcuding the nave and sanctuary. The view looks down the center aisle toward the main altar. The main altar includes three fixtures with religious figures. Saint Catherine is in the center niche. Each fixture is framed by pointed arches and soft, warm light from hanging fixtures. White and gold colored accents highlight the religious figures. The fixture to the left has three statues with one on the right side, with four candles below. The fixture to the right has three figures with one on the left side, and four candles below. The side altars are each adorned with statues and candles. Oak pews line both sides of the aisle leading to the altar table that sits in front of the main altar. Stations of the Cross line the side walls.
