Description
This black and white photograph features a group of men and women onstage dressed formally against a painted background of a city street with brick buildings in the 1910s. Lined up in the front row are fourteen suitcases, most with pennants on the side with Kansas written across them and a smaller triangle in the banner, marking it for the Fort Hays Normal School (FHN). The men and women all wear hats and dress in cold-weather clothes. Some women are wearing long coats and hats with ribbons, bows, and flowers. The men wear suit jackets, fedoras, flat caps, newsboy caps, and bowties or neckties. The group is standing on a stage, and the background has a city scene with some people painted on it and trees painted on each side of the stage.
