Description
The photograph depicts four college students and a middle-aged woman lounging in Wiest Hall during the 1970s in the then-known Fort Hays Kansas State College (1931-1977). In the center of the photograph is a male student wearing jeans, a long-sleeved button-down shirt that is rolled up to the forearms, and Converse sneakers shoes while sprawled on a couch. Behind the male student is a student with short hair and a t-shirt, a male student, and a female coed. The young man behind the centered male wears square-ish aviator glasses, a long-sleeved shirt, and dark slacks. The student on the left-hand side of the photograph is wearing a short-sleeved shirt with a book on the end table in front of them. The coed on the right-hand side of the photograph is seated at a round table with her feet up while wearing large glasses and a Mickey Mouse t-shirt. The middle-aged woman to the left-hand side of the photo is wearing large glasses, a short-sleeved shirt, dark slacks, and her hair in a cropped, curly-haired style while sitting on a separate couch. In front of the male student in the center of the photo is a round coffee table with a Coca-Cola can and an ashtray. Behind all the students (from the left-hand side to the right) is a ping-pong table, four vending machines, and an arcade game.
