Description
This black and white photograph features a woman reading the front page of a newspaper in a room full of people, primarily men. The newspaper headline reads, “Debate on Vietnam in Coliseum today,” from the Leader newspaper for the then-known Fort Hays Kansas State College (1931-1977). The woman sits at a table with a stack of books under her newspaper. In the background of the photograph, behind the focus of the newspaper, are two men; one has glasses while the other is drinking from a mug. The newspaper also has a photo of students sitting on the quad of the university and a notice that reads, “Class schedule altered.”
