Description

This black and white photograph features a group of students conversing at a table. The interior of the building is paneled in knotting pine, with a giant air duct on the ceiling. The students in the main shot of the photograph are all sitting at a square wooden table. The two students in the foreground are drinking Coke from a bottle. On top of the squared wooden table lies a pack of cigarettes, a stack of papers, glass bottles, salt and pepper shakers, and Styrofoam cups. The female students have short hair from the early 1960s, called the gamine hairstyle. The man has a short-sleeved button-up shirt. A woman at the table wears a short-sleeved knit top and shorts. A woman standing near the table wears a wide-rib sweater with a mock turtleneck and an adhesive stick-on nametape that is illegible.
