Description
The early 1980s Liberal High School Marching Band Photograph from FHSU’s Band Day. The black and white photo shows the Liberal High School marching band. The band marches on the track around Lewis Field Stadium at Fort Hays State University for a Band Day competition. The band members’ dark uniforms say “LHS” on the shoulders and “Liberal” on the forearms. The band members wear black fur shako hats with light colored plumes. Female color guard members march beside the band. The girls carry flags and wear light, long-sleeved shirts underneath button-front vests. They also wear dark bow ties, light skirts, and white boots. The football stadium bleachers are visible behind them where a crowd of spectators sits and watches.
