Description
The picture shows five different marching bands of adolescents in separate lines on Lewis Field in the estimated 1980s. The bands are at Fort Hays State University to play in Band Day. The stands are overflowing with people. The instruments in the photo are saxophones, clarinets, trombones, trumpets, flutes, and other brass horns. Every band line is wearing bibbers, marching band jackets, and marching shoes. The two bands on the far left also wear shako hats with the band on the farthest left including plumes in their shakos. There are also several students in each band line using flip books to hold their music.
