Description

This black and white photograph features attendees at the Fort Hays State University 75th Anniversary Ceremony. A group of people assembled in a steel building for an event during the 75th anniversary of Fort Hays State University on June 23rd, 1977, celebrating the completion of the David Andrew Riegel Animal Science Laboratory. Metal folding chairs are set up towards the front of the room, facing forward, and more people are standing behind them. The people are formally dressed in suits, ties, and dresses for the function. Three men in suits are standing and talking in front of the chairs on the left side of the photograph. One man wears a 1970s suit in windowpane plaid. A large garage door opening and a smaller entry door can be seen towards the back of the building. Large metal structural beams and long fluorescent lights can be seen at the top of the photograph. A large fan is on the back wall.
