Description
The black and white photograph was taken in front of Forsyth Library on June 23, 1977, at Fort Hays State University. It depicts Robert Luehrs holding a white cylindrical time capsule. He wears a sports coat with a shirt and tie, dress slacks, black glasses, and dress shoes that are hidden in the grass. In front of him is a gray 4-foot-square slab with an open hole and a lid resting to the side. A partially obstructed college-aged woman standing on a dais is wearing a long-sleeved top with ruffles and buckled dress shoes with a chunky heel. In the background, a man and a woman wear formal attire, and two college-aged students wear casual school clothing. Two trees and a bush are part of the library landscaping. The limestone library is in the background.
