Description

This black and white photograph features the 1952 stage actors performing a skit for Fort Hays Kansas State College’s 50th Anniversary in Sheridan Coliseum. The two actors are standing off the stage to the side in front of a large, seven-foot-tall prop of Thomas Carlyle’s book Heroes and Hero Worship. The actor on the left is a man with dark, short hair, turned away from the other actor, facing the prop as if writing the book, and wearing a light-colored suit coat, collared shirt, dress pants, and dark, leather dress shoes. The other actor is a man with a goatee, turned away from the other actor, looking into the distance, and dressed as a Civil War solider with a dark, double-breasted jacket, pants, thigh-high leather boots, hat, and a pistol and sword attached to his belt.
