Description
This black and white photographic postcard depicts an ice gorge in Marion, Kansas. There are large chunks of ice throughout the riverbed. Five men are standing on ice blocks in the middle of the river . A group of men are at the edge of the river. A building and trees are in the background. The frozen river is in the foreground. Written text is at the bottom of the card. Handwriting is on the back of the card.

Ice Gorge, Cottonwood Valley Mill Jan. 14, '10, Marion Kan. Was glad to get your postals and just a little bit surprised to learn that you had left Iowa. Ha! Ha! The picture will show you we are having bad weather too. The last flood filled river full of ice below mill dam. If you don't get paper every week let me know.
