"Joan Finney will be an excellent Treasurer of the State of Kansas. She offers proven administrative ability coupled with a sincere commitment to public service." Rev. Gunnar Alksnis, Ph.D. Dear Friends: I am sending you this card to ask for your support of Joan Finney for State Treasurer on Tuesday, November 5. Joan Finney has a record as a decision maker in her work in government service and an ability to listen to and consider new ideas. Joan has served as assistant to Senator Carlson for 16 years; as State executive officer, Shawnee County Commissioner of Elections 1970-72; and as administrative assistant to Topeka Mayor Bill McCormick 1973-74. Joan's qualities would combine to make her an asset to state government. Sincerely, Russ & Willis Hughes "Sunshesus" Handwritten: Mr & Mrs D. Yordy R.R.1 Brookville, Kansas 67425
