4th Congressional District Old Soldiers' Re-Union, Council Grove, Kansas, September 5-6-7-8. Oct. 30, 1907 Dear Friend we got home all right and all of the peopple [sic] seem to be glad to see us and Mr B had the house all painted up nice just as I had I sed(sic) I like to have it. I have ben(sic) so very busy cleaning house I had to stop as it has rained for to(sic) days. O well what a nice time we had while we was in the East every bod(sic) so nice to us. but one you knew but we did have a next with the one our last visit was not very plesant(sic). We have to make the best of thoes(sic) things with love from your Friend. Mrs. Mary English, Stoddard Carlinville, Ills.
