    Transcription

    Waconda Sanitarium and Great Spirit Springs, Mitchell County, Kansas, on Highway #24. This Spring is 54 feet in diameter and situated on top of a mound. First record by General Pike in 1814; an Indian Shrine for centuries, famous for health producing waters. Sanitarium was founded in 1906.
