Description
This black and white photographic postcard features a naturally circular hole of spring water in the ground with a fence around it. The Sanitarium and other buildings are in the background. The Sanitarium has been updated with stucco exterior instead of limestone rock. There is printed text at the bottom of the card. There is handwriting on the back of the card.

Waconda Springs, Kans. Historic Mecca for Early Plains Indians-on US-24 Waconda Springs Ks. Sept. 1, 1957. Dear Brother just a few lines I am about as usual. Hope you are better. Do you get my letters I never heard if you do or not. It looks as if it may rain. They sure need it. It is pretty cool nights. Dannies and girls are home from their trip, said they has a nice time.
