Description

This black and white photographic postcard features hundreds of deceased rabbits in the foreground. A dog stands to the left of the rabbit pile. A group of twenty one men stand behind the rabbits. Several are pointing their rifles at the photographer as a pose. A board with rabbits hanging for butcher is attached to the Cheney Automobile store. There is printed text at the top of the card. There is handwriting on the back of the card.

1785 Rabbits Cheney Kans. Cheney Automobile Co. Anness, Kans. Feb. 1 1912. Rec’d your card yesterday and as I am in the writing business today, thought I would ans. your card. We are having pretty good weather. The snow is almost gone and the mud will soon be dried up. We are all well here but Grandma she has a cold and her stomach bothers her. Sorry to hear so many are sick up there. You mustn’t get down you must throw that cold away. John has been here and at Earl's has not been at home much. Am thinking of going to Norwich Sat. if the weather is nice. Aunt Hattie. Mr. John Allen Box 608 K.S.A.C Manhattan Kan.
