Description
This black and white photographic postcard features an attraction in Lucas, Kansas. This postcard reflects one of the sculptures in the Garden of Eden. Titled "Civilization", a statue of a woman wearing a dress and hat with the stripes of the American flag stands above two men who are sawing the tree that she is standing on. The two sculptures of men are on a platform below the woman and are using a two man crosscut saw to cut the tree. The sculptures are erected above a pyramid shaped platform. The platform is taller than the crowd in front of it. There are sixteen people standing in front of the base of this installation, with S. P. Dinsmoor on the far left. There is handwriting on the bottom of the card.
