Description
This black and white photograph features the Portheus and Gillicus fossil. It is also known as the "fish within a fish". The specimen is embedded in plaster and in a wooden frame. The specimen is so large that it had to be cut in half for transportation. Several men are standing outside loading up the tail section of the fossil. Handwritten text is on the bottom of the negative.
