Description
This black and white photograph features the Portheus and Gillicus fossil. It is also known as the "fish within a fish". The specimen is embedded in plaster and in a wooden frame. The image is dark. The fossil is propped upright and the eye sockets of both fish are visible. Handwritten text is at the top and bottom of the negative.
