Description
This black and white photograph features two men sitting next to several large limb bones. They are processing the bones for removal from the ground. The man on the right is holding a pick axe, while the man on the left has a chisel in his hand. A smoking pipe and a hammer are on top of one of the bones. Another bone is in the bottom left of the photograph, and there are several small tools on the ground next to it. Grasses and shrubs are seen in the background. "Articulated skeleton of sauropod dinosaur partly uncovered as it lay in the ground." The Smithsonian Institution published this image. (1938).
