This black and white photograph features the badlands in an unknown location. A black arrow in the center of the photograph indicates the truck that was used by George Sternberg. The truck is at the base of one of rock formations. In the foreground, two men are on top of a hill. Another black arrow drawn on the photograph shows the men in the lower center. The valley between the men and the truck has scattered shrubs; the shrubs continue on around the base of the rock formations. A white border surrounds the photograph.
