Description
This item features the black and white real photo postcard from the U.B.I.C. and Indian Fair in 1937. The UBIC (Uintah Basin Industrial Convention) was started in 1923 at Fort Duchesne in Utah as a social and educational event focused on agricultural issues. It was later combined with the local Indian fair and ceased in the early 1940s. (Information from "A History Of Uintah County.") This photo features an Indigenous American woman and her baby. The young baby is wearing a baby bunting with an ornate hoodie, and the woman is wearing a jacket that has floral patterns on it.
