Description

This black and white photograph depicts camp at Madison River near Belgrade, Montana. A tent is on the right with two automobiles parked on the left. C.S. Gilmore, George Sternberg and a guide from Belgrade are in front of the tent. Gilmores sits on the left with his hands on his lap and his legs are crossed. He wears field clothes. Sternberg leans between the two men and is showing a specimen that is in his hand. He wears a shirt and pants. The guide sits on the right chair and is turned toward Sternberg. He wears pants, a shirt and glasses. Mountains and sky are in the background. Handwriting is below the photograph.
